Is Pace Boys Basketball drought for a district championship over?
Last Pace boys basketball season was definitely not one for the books going 5-18 for the season and 3-6 in the league last year winning 4 out there 5 wins in over time. The last time pace had a shot at district champs was in 2015. Last year was definitely a rough year with the possible lack of leadership to pick the team up when they were down. Going 1-1 to rival Milton High School that’s in their district again this year hope to bring that record to 2-0. Also they went 2-0 to another district opponent Escambia and hope to keep the streak. After graduating our leading scorer and rebounder Conner Lee this years underclassmen have big shoes to fill. Rickey Stacey averaging 30 points a game on the freshman team leading them to a undefeated season is going to have a huge impact on the varsity team. Also senior captain Preston Price 2 year varsity player, didn’t get much playing time but when he was in the game made a huge impact while in. Hoping to see a district champion banner hanging on the wall in March of 2019.
