Second Half Too Much for the Patriots

11-28-18

Last night Pace Boys Basketball took on Pensacola Catholic, and it didn’t end in the way they wanted, losing 65-48. Pace came out on fire having a great 1st half with the defense playing it’s best and the offense making shots.

When Pace came out the second half, they put went up by 7, but then turnovers starting piling up. #24 for Pensacola Catholic, Dj McKenzie, took advantage scoring on back to back turnovers from the Patriots. As confidence lowered they stopped boxing out and gave Catholic second and third chance shots.

It may be a loss, but according to Coach Pippin, “We can compete with any team we want." Catholic is a team that went deep into the playoffs last year eventually losing to Trinity Catholic in the 5A state final four, so the Patriots know that they stack up well against elite competition.

Pace (1-1) travels to Navarre (0-2) Thursday, November 29.
